London and Washington – President Donald Trump said he plans to speak on Tuesday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the middle of the efforts of the president of the United States to end the Russian war in Ukraine.
Trump added that “a lot of work” was done during the weekend and that “we will see if we have something to announce. Maybe for Tuesday.” He said his administration wants to “see if we can end that war.”
“Maybe we can. Maybe we can’t, but I think we have a very good opportunity,” he said, speaking aboard Air Force One when he returned to Washington, DC, Sunday night.

The Trump administration in recent weeks has been pressing Putin and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to end the 3 -year war, a high -risk diplomatic maneuver that included negotiating a potential at high fire of 30 days with Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia.
The Kremlin does not agree yet, with Putin saying that he was “because of that”, but also that he looked for more security guarantees. Zelenskyy during the weekend accused Putin of “prolonging” war.

Zelenskyy has long sustained that a Ukrainian victory against Russian invasion would include the country recovering the territory captured by Russia during the war. The Kremlin also attached the Crimean Peninsula after Russia’s invasion in 2014.
Putin last week echoed the words of Zelenskyy, saying that he would look for a total victory in Kursk, the Russian border region captured by Ukraine in a surprise incursion at the end of last summer, when recovering every centimeter.
When asked what kind of concessions would seek to the United States of Moscow and kyiv to reach a high fire agreement, Trump indicated that discussions on land and energy plants were on the table, as well as “divide” the assets between the two countries.
