Russian attacks reached the gas pipeline, cut electricity in Ukraine, the authorities say

London – The Russian attacks wounded five people, damaged houses and a pipeline in the Ukrainian city in southern Kherson during the night, said regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin.

Prokudin added that a Russian attack drone was shot down on the Kherson region, most of which is occupied by the Russian forces, with the region bisects by the first line marked by the Dnieper River, and that woman was killed by a drone attack on Thursday morning.

Ivan Fedorov, the governor of the southern region of Zaporizhzhia, who is also partially occupied by Russia, said that the local first -line communities were left without electricity due to the bombing during the night. More than 3,300 customers were affected, Fedorov said in a telegram post.

In the Northwest region of Kharkiv, near the front line, Governor Oleh Syniehubov said that 11 people were injured in a “massive” drone attack. Several houses and industrial sites were damaged, he said.

In the central city of DNIPRO, the local military administration reported multiple fires caused by drones impacts. “Companies, educational and cultural institutions, more than a dozen high -rise buildings were damaged in the city,” he said in Telegram. “More than 60 cars were damaged, several more were destroyed. Two trucks were also beaten.”

In general, the Ukraine Air Force reported a missile and 86 drones launched into the country during the night. The force said on the telegram that 42 drones were demolished and 26 lost in flight without causing damage. Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Cernihiv regions were affected, he said.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense said his forces knocked down a Ukrainian drone over the western region of Bryansk.

Cross -border attacks have continued despite the progress in a high partial fire of US negotiation aimed at freezing military action in the Black Sea and stopping long -range attacks against energy infrastructure facilities in both countries.

After the conversations in Saudi Arabia this week, the White House said the parties agreed to “develop measures to implement the agreement to prohibit strikes against energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine.”

The Kremlin said his moratorium began on March 18, although the communications advisor of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia hit the Ukrainian energy infrastructure eight times since that date.

Zelenskyy said Wednesday that there had been no attacks against energy infrastructure in both countries since Tuesday, when Ukraine and Russia agreed to stop attacks after the last round of conversations in Riyadh.

The White House framed the partial fire as a victory in its broader impulse for peace in Ukraine. But kyiv concerns remain that the administration of President Donald Trump is too aligned with Moscow’s narrative about the conflict.

This week, Trump’s envoy in the Middle East Steve Witkoff, who has been central in conversations with Moscow and kyiv, echoed the deceptive Russian conversation points, for example, suggesting that the annexation of Russia affirmed the annexation of five Ukrainian territories, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Crime the support of the local population.

During a press conference with reporters in Paris on Wednesday, Zelenskyy said Witkoff “often quotes the Kremlin narrative.”

“I think this does not bring us closer to peace, I think this will unfortunately weaken the pressure of the United States in the Russian Federation,” he added. “I have talked to President Trump more than once: we are trying to share real and truthful information since Witkoff’s statements disturb us a lot since we are fighting Putin and we don’t want him to receive support.”

“I’ve always told President Trump that we want the United States to be on our side,” Zelenskyy said. “And even if the United States has chosen to be in the middle, then they need to remain in the middle and not approach the Kremlin.”
