Rome – Pope Francis made his first public appearance on Sunday since he was hospitalized in Rome more than five weeks ago.
Officials of the Gemelli Hospital, where the 88 -year -old Pope has received treatment after being diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, they said previously that they were preparing for the Pope to appear in a window.
Sitting in a wheelchair, Francis appeared and stirred his hands. In a weak voice, he said: “[T]Oh, everyone … and I see a woman with yellow flowers … she is ‘brava’, well. “Then he greeted again and seemed to make a sign of the cross.

The area near the hospital entrance had been filled with people on Sunday morning. People were also flooding the Plaza de San Pedro in the Vatican, where they could see the Pope’s greeting through large television screens.

After Francis’s appearance at the hospital, his caravan of at least seven vehicles left the facilities. You could see Francis in the front seat of a Fiat White 500, who took him home again.
