An employee of the hospital shot a co -worker several times in Troy, Michigan, in the parking lot of the building on Thursday in a “directed attack”, according to the police.
The employee was hit twice on the arm when the suspect shot a five -time gun outside the Corewell Health Beaumont Troy hospital, according to Lieutenant Ben Hancock, of the Troy Police Department. The victim’s vehicle was also beaten, Hancock said.
The victim, a 25 -year -old Trojan man, is alive and is in stable condition.

The suspect was arrested after fleeing the scene, police said. The authorities have not revealed the identity of the suspect.
The police responded to the shooting on Thursday around 7 am local time, according to the police, and the suspect was arrested a couple of hours later.
“A victim is in the emergency department for medical treatment. Patients with scheduled services should not come to the hospital at this time. Patients can call the department where they were scheduled for the service directly,” said Corewell Health in a statement to ABC News.

The hospital was immediately locked “out of great caution,” said Corewell Health. It is now in the process of resuming normal operations, according to the police.
